Today Lancia offered new photos and information on its entry-level model, which will be launched from June in Europe and from September in the United Kingdom, where it will wear the Chrysler logo.

The 3.84-meter long Lancia Ypsilon will be available with a choice of four engines. In Europe, customers will be able to choose from the 69HP 1.2-liter petrol engine, the 85HP 0.9-liter TwinAir unit and the 95HP 1.3-liter Multijet II turbodiesel engine.

The pricing for the 2012 Hyundai Genesis has officially been set at $34,200, not including $850 for delivery. The facelifted Genesis four-door sedan was unveiled at the 2011 Chicago Auto Show.

The base Genesis 3.8 sedan, which now uses a direct-injected 3.8-liter V6, rated at 333 horsepower and 291 pound-feet of torque – gains of 43 and 27, respectively, versus the 2011 model. A new eight-speed automatic transmission is also on tap, meaning the Genesis 3.8 will achieve up to 29 miles per gallon on the highway.

Look at the spy video of the new camouflaged Toyota FT-86 prototype, which was caught during testing in Germany. The European market Toyota FT-86 prototype foreshadows the production version of the rear-wheel drive coupe’s North American sibling, the Scion FR-S.

There is no question about the mechanical hardware as both iterations of Toyota Motor Corp’s sports coupe proposal will share the same rear-wheel drive platform architecture and a more technologically advanced version of Subaru’s new 2.0-liter four-cylinder boxer engine producing somewhere close to 200-horsepower.

The hot version of the Ford Focus hatch is testing now in Europe. The new sport variant will follow the company’s “One Ford” strategy and go on sale in Europe, North America and Asia under the same Focus ST nameplate.

2012 Focus ST hatch will be powered by a new 2.0-liter EcoBoost engine delivering 250 hp. Developed together by the RS and SVT engineering teams, the Focus ST was presented as a pre-production concept car at the 2010 Paris motor show.

General Motors is recalling 154,112 Cruze models to ensure proper installation of the intermediate steering shaft covers. Automatic transmission-equipped models will also be checked for proper installation of the transmission shift linkage.

GM says it hasn’t yet received any complaints about the issue and no accidents have been reported. GM says that the vast majority of recalled vehicles will not need to be repaired ??? the automaker simply wants to inspect the vehicles “to give customers additional peace of mind about the quality of the Cruze.”

Ria unveiled the new sub-compact Rio sedan for North American market. The new Kia Rio sedan keeps the hatchback model’s front end styling with the large, almond-shaped headlights adding a new window line and a different rear end design.

The 2012 Kia Rio sedan is longer, wider and lower than the previous model, measuring 171.9-in. long, 67.7-in. and 57.3-in high. Kia said that thanks to the use of high-tensile-strength steel, the new Rio sedan offers increased torsional stiffness for improved handling, ride quality and refinement, plus increased crash safety capabilities while reducing overall weight.

The third generation Volkswagen Beetle was unwrapped today ahead of its world premiere at the 2011 New York Auto Show. The new Bug would be larger, more mature and unisex. Highlights include an available flat bottom steering wheel, an extra glovebox integrated in the front facia whose lid folds upward while keeping the standard glovebox that opens downward, optional auxiliary instruments above the center console and integrated audio and navigation systems with a 5-inch or a 6.5-inch screen.

Chevrolet has unveiled its special Camaro for celebrating the iconic car’s 45th anniversary. The 3.6-liter V6 engine has been upgraded to 323 hp, an increase of 11 horsepower over the 2011 engine. The new engine is 20.5 pounds (9.3 kg) lighter and benefits from a thorough rework, including new cylinder head design, new fuel pump and optimized-flow fuel injectors, among other changes.
