Land Rover has anounced a new Range Rover Sport TDV8. The new diesel SUV will be show at the Paris Motor Show. The new diesel engine produces around 272 horsepower ? 40 percent more than the TDV6. The Sport TDV8 reaches 60 mph in 8.6 seconds, compared to 9.2 seconds for the V6. The TDV8 shares its braking system with the Range Rover Sport Supercharged, with four-piston Brembo front brake callipers and 360 mm front discs. Overall fuel economy is roughly 21.2 mpg (in U.S. gallons). Expected price not announced.

Land Rover has unveiled the 2007 Defender. The new Defender received a number of enhancements: a new 2.4-litre common rail diesel engine, a new six-speed gearbox featuring a wide ratio spread, a fully-integrated facia, more comfortable seating with full-size forward-facing third-row seat option, and a high-output heating, ventilation and air-conditioning system. The unique 2007 Defender architecture retained, with 90, 110 and 130 wheelbase versions supporting a wide range of derivatives. The new engine offers 122 horsepower with more than 90 per cent of peak power available from less than 2200 rpm to over 4350 rpm. 232 pound-feet of torque are available at from 1500 rpm to 2700 rpm. Peak torque of 265 pound-feet arrives a 2000 rpm.

The 2007 Audi Q7 3.6 has a base price of $39,900, with 3.6 Premium models starting at $45,900. The Audi Q7 3.6 features a 3.6-liter V6 FSI engine with gasoline direct injection technology. The engine produces 280 hp at 6200 rpm and 266 ft.-lbs. of torque at between 2500 and 5000 rpm. It is mated to a standard six-speed Tiptronic automatic transmission and full-time quattro all-wheel drive.

Guys from worldcarfans.com has posted spy shots of a new 2007 Punto, caught on the public roads in Italy. There was speculation that the petrol engines will be available between 65 and 95 bhp and the 1.3-litre Multijet common-rail turbodiesel with 75 bhp.

Italian FIAT anounced the first official images of a new powerful version of its tiny Panda city car.

There was speculation that the car will receive the legendary Abarth badge or simply be named ?Sport?, power will definitely come from the Grand Punto?s 1.4-litre 16-valve Starjet engine, developing 100 bhp.

Expected price of around 14 000 Euros.

Spy shots: Audi TT RS coupe

Audi TT RS was caught testing on the roads in Germany. The new RS coupe powered by a twin-turbo Audi’s 2-liter TSFI stratified fuel injection engine. No details on power output yet, but given that single-blower version of that unit already produce 250bhp. That will put the car at least 50bhp above the current range-topper, the 3.2-litre V6 model. The twin-turbo engine is likely to be mated to six-speed manual and S-tronic transmissions.
