2008 Renault Koleos Concept

Renault unveiled its Koleos Concept at the 2006 Paris Motor Show. It’s a concept of a future SUV that will arrive on market in 2008. The 2008 Koleos Concept is built on a new four wheel drive chassis and is powered by a 180 hp 2.0 dCi engine, both of which have been developed within the framework of the Renault-Nissan Alliance. The front end features LED headlamps, with additional lights and indicators housed in the exterior mirrors. It has 200 mm of ground clearance and large 19-inch alloy wheels.

Skoda has unveiled its Joyster Concept at the Paris International Motor Show. Joyster – the three-door, front-wheel-drive compact hatchback.

“On top of its fresh-looking design, the vehicle offers a high degree of comfort and smart modern communication solutions,” the company said. “The Joyster concept demonstrates the big creative potential of the company’s young designers led by Jens Manske. The team indeed creates new, simple and sophisticated solutions in the spirit of the company’s advertising slogan ?? Simply Clever.”

Lamborghini unveiled the Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 Versace at the Paris Motor show. Murcielago LP640 Versace ?? a special edition of the new LP640 Murcielago. Like the regular LP640, LP640 Versace is powered by a 6.5-litre V12 engine. The Murcielago LP640 Versace edition features a customized all-white exterior and a matching white interior.

Spy photografers snapped a new camouflaged Lotus Esprit on test on public roads in Europe. Insiders say that the new Esprit will use BMW’s 4.4-litre V8, which can also be found in the BMW X5. The new Lotus has yet to name the newcomer, but expected that it will debut in December 2009.

2007 Mercedes CL-Class Brabus coupe

Brabus, German based tuner, has unveiled a kit for the 2007 Mercedes CL-Class coupe. The basic CL 600’s 5.5-liter V12 engine was increased to 6.3 liters. Output is increased to 730 hp at 5,100 rpm, and torque peaks to 811 pound-feet at 2,100 rpm. All this means the car accelerates to 62 mph in just 4.0 seconds, and 124 mph in 11.9 seconds. For the CL 500 boosting output to 462 horsepower (6,200 rpm) and 454 pound-feet of torque (3,100 rpm). Tuned cars are fitted with 12-piston brakes, aerodynamics enhancements, new front and rear fascias, and custom wheels.

Toyota is developing a tiny 2-seat microcar, called the Aygo, for US market. Designed to compete directly with the ForTwo, the Aygo will be the Japanese automaker’s smallest U.S. offering to date. The microcar will get a fresh look for 2008, with roughly 100 horsepower. An official unveiling planned for the Tokyo Motor Show.

Worldcarfans caught Peugeot testing its all-new replacement for the 307, dubbed 308. Peugeot 308 will arrive in 2008, but Peugeot has decided to show the new model at the 2007 Frankfurt Motor show. The 308 hatchback version that will be the first one to hit the market as four- and two-door.

Power will come from a 2.2 four-cylinder turbo diesel engine delivering 170 HP as well as from the new 1.6 litre fuel injected engine model between 75 and 170 horsepower.
