The Korean carmaker unveiled its addition for Genesis luxury sedan lineup. Its a little redesigned version for U.S. market with a 385hp 4.6-liter V8 and the standard 5.0-liter V8 units. Both engines are linked to an 8-speed automatic transmission driving the rear wheels with the R-Spec gaining a sportier setup.
For 2013, Hyunda has added a new eight-inch Driver Information System (DIS) display with navigation and an enhanced multi-media controller to the options list for both the Genesis 3.8 technology package and 5.0 R-Spec models. The new display integrates the same rotating dial with joystick-type function but features “a more intuitive user interface”, enhanced voice-recognition commands and improved navigation screen layouts. The system utilizes a 64GB solid-state drive allowing users to store music, images and videos.
Hyundai now offers its latest Blue Link telematics system in three packages named “Assurance”, “Essentials” and “Guidance”. No word about pricing yet, but we know that the 2013 Genesis sedan will go on sale this fall.
