Chrysler is recalling Jeep Liberty SUVs because of the potential loss of steering control. The recall 832,000 affects Liberty SUVs from the 2002-2006 model years. Liberty’s owners will receive notices about the recall in September and the affected ball joints will be replaced at no cost.
The ball joints has troubled the Liberty before. The suspension recalled 300,000 2002-2003 Liberty SUVs in 2003.
Liberty is poor SUV. 🙁
I love my liberty and only found out about this 4 days before i got my notice. I won’t give up my little Libby unless i absolutely have to. Not great for long distance but great for backroad fishing expeditions.
