The Chrysler Nassau concept is a four-door, four-passenger luxury coupe. The Jeep Trailhawk “merges the spectrum of the Jeep brand by combining the core features of the Jeep Wrangler with the sophistication of the Jeep Grand Cherokee.” It is based on the all-new 2007 Wrangler architecture.

Volkswagen Neeza

Volkswagen unveiled the Neeza concept at the Auto China 2006 show. The VW reports the concept as a “crossover of a coupe and a station wagon.” The concept’s name was derived from “Ne-zha”. Ne-zha is a famous figure from Chinese history. Ne-zha was a small guy with magic weapons who fought against evil spirits. “His unequalled will, his youthful and foresighted spirit and courage reflect the idea hidden behind the character and the name of the concept,” VW says.

Aston Martin DBS

The undisguised Aston Martin’s flagship DB9 was spied at Silverstone last Sunday. The 530bhp supercoupe gives us the best look yet at the DBS’s rear end. Check out the detailed aerodynamics, with an F1-style diffuser and subtle boot spoiler to sucker the coupe to the road. Those tarnished exhausts aren’t the beautifully milled, finished article but otherwise the flagship DB9’s rear end is complete. The new, deeper side sills, which add real muscularity to the design, are also clearly visible.

GM plans launch a new Hummer truck in 2009. “The new product will have unparalleled off-road capabilities,” Hummer General Manager Martin Walsh said on Wednesday, Nov. 8. “Like our current Hummers it would be recognizable from a distance.”

The brand currently has two models: the H2 and H3. It stopped production of the H1 in June.

Global Hummer sales rose 54 percent in the first nine months of 2006, when overall GM sales fell 2.5 percent.

Ferrari Dino

Ferrari Dino

The Ferrari Dino prototype was caught on public roads. Based on a F430 body, the Dino’s prototype doesn’t give away anything about how the Dino will look, but it does seem to confirm development is underway.

The prototype’s front fenders are a little wider and the side rocker panels are missing due to a different cooling system. It also looks like the area around gearbox and rear axle is slightly different. Another characteristic that identifies the test car as a mule for the Dino is its engine sound ??? spies say it was less sharp sounding than the a F430, and just plain different. Output is expected around 400 horsepower.

2008 Ford Escape

Spy shooters have caught the 2008 Ford Escape without any camouflage during testing on public roads in Detroit. The face of the new Escape looks more aggressively than 2008 Mercury Mariner. Its chrome grille eschews Ford’s three-bar grille design, instead taking cues from Ford’s new Expedition. The Escape shares the Mariner’s cleaned-up side panels, which now are free of any side cladding except for a small lower trim strip between the wheel wells.

Drivers lose the bollards battle

These video show drivers doing battle with the infamous rise-and-fall bollards of Manchester – and getting the ultimate come-uppance.

The 3ft-high barriers on St Mary’s Gate, which sink into the street to let Metroshuttle buses through, came under fire last week when the M.E.N. revealed they had damaged three cars in just five days.

Are the bollards a danger – or a good way of controlling traffic? I think its good lesson for cheeky drivers. Have your say.
