Mercedes-Benz has unveiled the 2007 Mercedes CL63 AMG. AMG’s CL63 coupe??? a high-performance variant of new Mercedes CL coupe, which was introduced early. An AMG 6.2-litre V8 engine delivers a maximum of 525 horsepower at 6800 rpm and 465 pound-feet of torque at 5200 rpm. The Mercedes CL 63 AMG is propelled to 62 mph in 4.6 seconds, according to the Mercedes-Benz’s conservative statistics.

Audi Q7 V12 TDI
Audi unveiled the Q7 V12 TDI SUV with an engine similar to the one featured in R10 Le Mans racing car. New engine produces 500 hp and 738 pound-feet of torque (1000 Nm). The Audi Q7 V12 TDI is capable of hitting 62 mph in 5.5 seconds, with a limited top speed of 155 mph. Maximum torque is available from just 1,750 rpm. Up to 2,000 bar of pressure is kept within the twelve piezo injectors ??? a further technological breakthrough. Unlike other Audi V-engines, this model features a special cylinder angle of 60 degrees. The twin-turbo V12 TDI conforms to the Euro 5 emissions class which should come into force in 2010. Fuel consumption is 20 mpg (11.9 liters per 100 kilometres).
2010 Chrysler 300 Convertible
Chrysler plans to bring a four-door retractable-top car to market. The new convertible sedan will based on the next-generation Chrysler Group LX platform and will arrive no earlier than the 2010 model year.
Helios concept (ASC design), based on a 300C four-door sedan, was unveiled at the Detroit show last year. The Helios is a rag top with a lattice structure to provide expected levels of body rigidity. But Chrysler has rejected the ASC design and chosen another designers to build its 300 retractable sedan. A complex folding steel roof covering four doors in a large sedan seems difficult, but if Chrysler can carry this off, a Chrysler 300 Convertible will add more prestige to keep it at the forefront of leading-edge design.
2008 Volvo XC70
Spy shooter Chris Doane unveiled new Volvo’s prototype. The all-new Cross Country wagon XC70 will arrive as a 2008 model.
The Volvo XC70 takes many of the new S80???s styling features, albeit pumped up with a tougher-looking front end, thanks to its enlarged egg-crate grille. In profile, the XC70 appears to have some bulging fenders, along with those oh-so-trendy side mirror turn signals. Despite the cladding designed to project a much more rakish D-pillar, the rear hatch indeed tapers more gently than the current model.
Crash test stickers required on new cars in 2007
New rule: stickers displaying crash ratings must be on vehicles in U.S. showrooms next year. The safety stickers must be on all cars, except pickups, which will cover the 2008 model year. They must be displayed the five-star ratings that includes data on front and side crash protection and rollover risk.
The government (new rule sponsored by the Republican Senator from Ohio, Mike DeWine) already requires window stickers for fuel economy, cost and vehicle features. “By placing safety ratings directly on new car window stickers consumers will have the ability to make more informed decisions right there on the car sales lot,” told Sen. Mike DeWine.

Chrysler recalling 180,000 vehicles
Chrysler will recall more than 145,000 Dodge Ram light duty pickup trucks and an 35,103 2001-03 Dodge Durango SUVs. Chrysler said it would replace the passenger air bag pack and re-program the air bags computer. The passenger air bag may not be compatible with some rear-facing child seat models if the passenger seat is in the full forward position and an airbag deployment occurs. 35,000 Dodge Durangos will recalled for check their console wiring connectors.
Audi S6 and S8 priced
Audi announced pricing for its 2007 S6 and S8 sedans. The 435 horsepower S6 will start at $72,000 MSRP. A “technology package” will cost $3,900, a warm weather package $1,900, adaptive cruise control $2,000, rear airbags $350, and carbon fiber inlays $400. Meanwhile, the 450 horsepower S8 (Euro-spec model) will start at $92,000 MSRP. A premium package will cost $3,500, rear seat climate control $600, adaptive cruise control $2,100, Bang & Olufsen audio $6,300, solar sunroof $750, and carbon inlays $500.
