Acura recalling over 52,000 TL sedans

Acura recalling approximately 52,615 TL sedans. The first safety recall involves vehicles from the 2007 and 2008 model years. The problem: a faulty power steering hose that could, over time, deteriorate and develop a fluid leak. A leaky power steering hose “could lead to loss of power steering assistance or, if it leaks onto a catalytic converter it may result in smoke, or in the worst case, fire.” Acura states that no crashes, injuries or fires have been reported because of this issue.

GM has decided to allocate production of the new Astra from the Russelsheim plant in Germany to its plant in Ellesmere Port, UK and Gliwice, Poland. General Motors said that it made the decision after the Ellesmere Port Vauxhall workforce approved a new labor agreement, which comes into force in 2013.

The unfavorable day for Ferrari: Italian carmaker is recalling 458 Italia and California models around the world due to a problem with the crankshaft.

The problem, which affects 206 sportcars in total of 13,000 built, is caused by an incorrect finish to the crankshafts in question. The problem causes unwanted vibrations which can damage the engine if it is not changed.
