New ECO-Versions of Mercedes A180 and B180
Mercedes-Benz has decided to refresh its A-Class hatch and B-Class MPV lineups for UK market. Any ideas? Yes, of course! We will roll out the new ECO versions for both models. So, from January 2014, the new Mercedes A 180 CDI ECO SE and B 180 CDI ECO SE replace the current A 180 CDI and B 180 CDI models.
VW Twin-Up Prototype
VW is ready to unveil its new Twin-Up prototype at the upcoming Tokyo Motor Show (November 22 – December 1). Its a special Up study, featuring an upgraded version of the diesel electric hybrid from the XL1. So, the new VW prototype will get something near 1 liter/100 km (235 mpg US) fuel consumption.

Spy Video: Mercedes-Benz S-Class XL
Here is a fresh video from Nurburgring, where premium carmaker Mercedes-Benz is continuing the testing its extra-long S-Class as a prototype. The S-Class lineup will gain a third member next year when the “XL” version will come out. It will be slotted above the existing long wheelbase version which has an overall length of 5246 mm. The longer one will be around 5500 mm in length and will keep the same two plus two seating layout. While the third side windows of the short- and long-wheelbase versions are included in the rear doors, on the XL model these will be positioned after the rear doors.
