Comedian Eddie Griffin crashed a rare $1.2 million Ferrari Enzo into a barrier during a practice run. Its a fake crash – the event was planned to promote the upcoming film “Redline”.

The movie’s tagline is “Fear Nothing. Risk Everything,” and the film features several crashes of actual cars. Two Porsche Carrera GTs were destroyed during filming.

The Enzo was owned by “Redline” producer and real estate investor Daniel Sadek. Several supercars owned by Sadek ??? including the Enzo ??? appear in the movie.

2009 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X

Look at the 2009 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X, caught in camouflage on road testing. Even under the camouflage, we can see that the sheet metal on this test car is identical to that of the Prototype X Concept, finally showed the Prototype X Concept at the NAIAS in January.

Officially arriving in the first quarter of 2008, the Evo X will be powered by a turbocharged version of the 2.0-liter I4, and will be equipped with an AWD system ??? complete with stability control.

In the same category as Subaru’s WRX, the all-wheel-drive system ??? known as “Super-All-Wheel Control” (S-AWC) ??? may make this the best handling vehicle in its class.

Lamborghini Alar

Look at the first official photo of the Lamborghini Alar, a Diablo-based special that’s somehow allowed to retain the Lamborghini nameplate.

The hammerhead shark-like nose is particularly weird-looking. Ironically, there are people who go out of their way to build kit cars that look like real Diablos. Here you have a case where perfectly good Diablos will be sacrificed in order to make them look like wacky kit cars.

Infiniti G37 Coupe

Look at the spy photo of a Infiniti G37 prototype in testing. This week, Nissan confirmed the G37 coupe would arrive in April.

The car was shot at sunrise, after being out for a nighttime test drive. A front view was impossible, but our spies did manage to catch the rear-corner view as it escaped back to the test track.

As officially reported, the Infiniti G37 will feature a 3.7 liter ingine. More importantly, it’s worth noting that the engine is in fact a less powerful version of the high-output V6 that will propel the GT-R supercar. While the GT-R will feature twin turbos, the G37 will probably be naturally aspirated.

The Infiniti G37 Coupe will be on display in early April at the New York Auto Show.
