New BMW 114i and M135i as Five-Door Hatchback

Today BMW introduced two new models, the 114i and M135i. Both of these models will be available on the five-door version of the 1-Series. The 114i features a de-tuned version of the 116i’s 1.6-liter four-cylinder petrol engine with a twin scroll turbocharger rated at a low 101hp and 180Nm.

2013 BMW 3 Series Sports Wagon

BMW recalls of five models over fire risk.

BMW has issued a recall over 32,000 cars and CUVs covering the years 2008-2011 due to a fire risk. Turbocharged eight- and twelve-cylinder engines in the 5 Series, 5 Series Gran Turismo, 7 Series, X5 and X6 could suffer from overheating circuit boards that control the electric auxiliary water pump.

2012 Euro NCAP Crash Test Results

Great news for automakers: nine out of 10 cars tested this year earned the 5 starts in Euro NCAP’s crash tests. The five-star winners are: the Audi A6, the BMW X3, the Chevrolet Aveo, the Chevrolet Orlando, the Citroen DS5, the Hyundai i40, the Opel Ampera, the VW Golf Cabriolet and the VW Jetta.
