2011 Infiniti EX

Infiniti has unveiled its revised 2011 EX that going on sale now. Pricing for the Infiniti EX, which is offered exclusively with a 297-horsepower 3.5-liter V6 engine, starts at $34,150 and tops out at $37,750 for the Journey with all-wheel drive.

The most important update for the new model year is the introduction of a new and standard 7-speed automatic transmission that replaces a five-speed automatic version. There is a new white color scheme for the gauges and LCD instrument display while all models come equipped with standard 18-inch alloy wheels and Dual Zone Automatic Temperature Control.

2011 Saab 9-4X

The 2012 Saab 9-4X SUV makes its digital debut ahead of LA Show. The new 9-4X shares its Theta platform and major drive components with the Cadillac SRX, and will be built at GM’s factory in Ramos Arizpe, Mexico.

On the outside, changes over the 2008 study concern some minor details such as the smaller front fog light openings, mirror caps, tail lamp color combos and smaller alloy wheels.

The all-new Ford Ranger pickup truck which makes its worldwide debut at this week’s Australian International Motor Show in Sydney. Like an old model, Ford’s new Ranger was developed in cooperation with Mazda, which will also unveil its version called the BT-50 in Sydney.

The new Ford Ranger moves a step closer to passenger cars in terms of styling, interior appointments as well as technology features. It will be available in three different cab body styles, 4×2 and 4×4 drivetrains, two ride heights and four series choices.

Mazda BT-50 Pickup Truck

Mazda released the first official photos of the its all-new BT-50 pickup. The two pickup truck models are the result of a collaboration between Ford and Mazda and will both get their world premiere at this week’s Australian International Motor Show in Sydney.

The Mazda BT-50 pickup gets its own unique exterior cues and interior styling inspired by the Mazda’s passenger car range. Though far less aggressive than originally implied on the first teaser sketches, the BT-50’s exterior design is more funky than it’s Ford sibling. The same can be said about the interior which is said to feature all the accommodations of a passenger car.

Here is a first spy video of the Lamborghini Murcielago replacement prototype model. The all new replacement model may be called Jota, as some sources suggest. Today, the 2012 Lamborghini Jota / Murcielago has been driven around the Nurburgring race track.

The 2012 Lamborghini Jota / Murcielago supercar is expected to make its world debut at the 2011 Geneva Salon next March.

2011 Volkswagen Eos Facelift

Volkswagen is unveiling its Eos coupe-cabriolet facelift. The fupdated Eos, which will have its premiere at the Los Angeles Auto Show in late November, receives an updated design and a some new features.

The exterior facelift brings the Eos in line with VW’s latest models such as the new Touareg, Passat B7 and Jetta. At the front, there’s a new upper grille which is now completely separated from the lower. The new Eos get new headlamps that incorporate horse-shoe shaped LED running lights, the bumper design and the more chiseled side mirrors.

2011 Mazda2 Facelift

The facelifted Mazda2 was unveiled in Paris today. The Mazda2 enters the 2011 model year with a revised front grille and a re-sculptured front bumper. A fresh choice of exterior colors and alloy wheel designs complete the look.

Inside, Mazda2 gets new materials, seat fabrics and colours, plus some other upgrades such as a new meter design with black background and a closed-type glove compartment.

Paris 2010: 2011 Volkswagen Passat

Volkswagen has unveiled its new Passat at first day of Paris Motor Show. It’s received the new corporate design and intended for an older demographic and the styling seems to reflect that.

A full range of engines will be available later this year. In North America a new Passat will receive the 207-horsepower, 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder as well as the 296-horsepower, 3.6-liter V6. All engines can be mated to either a six-speed manual or dual-clutch automatic gearbox, and 4Motion all-wheel drive should be available on top-end models.

Hyundai recalling 140,000 Sonatas

Hyundai Sonata

Hyundai has issued a recall of 139,500 Sonatas over steering issues. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) report identifies the issue says “the steering column intermediate shaft universal joint connections may have been either improperly assembled or insufficiently tightened.” The consequence could be “a complete separation or compromised attachment of the connections, such that the driver could experience a loss of, or reduction in, steering capability increasing the risk of a crash.”

The recall affects 2011 Hyundai Sonata sedans built between December 11, 2009 and September 10, 2010. Hyundai’s dealers should begin sending out recall notices in October. They will inspect and re-torque the assembly, and update the steering software too, at no charge.
