2013 Volkswagen CC R-Line

The all-new 2013 Volkswagen CC R-Line was unveiled five months ago. Today Volkswagen has released U.S. pricing for this coupe’s lineup. 2013 Volkswagen CC R-line will start at $32,195, plus an $825 destination fee, just before the end of the year.

The R-Line version uses the same 2.0-liter TSI turbocharged four-cylinder engine with 200hp, equipped with a six-speed manual transmission or a six-speed DSG dual-clutch automatic driving the front wheels.

Here are the first official photos and video of the latest convertible model from Opel, called Cascada. Opel and its British right hand Vauxhall, will start producing its a mid-size convertible in March of 2013. At 4,697mm long and 1,840mm wide, the Opel (Vauxhall) Cascada is bigger than the Astra Twin Top and 71mm longer than the Audi A5 Cabrio and 85mm longer than the BMW 3-Series Convertible.

After the massive recall in 2009 and 2010 over the infamous unintended acceleration problems, Toyota has once again issues a global recall for 7.4 million cars over faulty power window glitch in 14 different models. This problem may malfunction and offer a ‘notchy’ or sticky feel during operation. The use of a commercial lubricant, instead of the special fluorine grease used by the factory, may result in the melting of the switch and the emission of smoke.

Honda will recall 489,000 CR-V vehicles in the U.S., Europe and Africa. Usually, water puts out a fire but when it comes to the Honda CR-V from the 2002 to 2006 model years, rain can eventually lead to a fire risk. Honda discovered that if rainwater or other spilled liquids enter through an open driver’s window and reach the master-power window switch, it could cause electrical resistance. If that were to happen, the switch could overheat smoke, and cause a fire.

The NHTSA has issued a recall for over 40,000 of General Motors sedans and crossovers bought in the hot-climate states of Arkansas, Arizona, California, Nevada, Oklahoma and Texas. As many as 40,859 units consisting of the 2007 Chevrolet Equinox, Pontiac Torrent and Saturn Ion and the 2007-2009 Chevrolet Cobalt and its Pontiac G5 twin are being recalled for potential fuel leaks.

The big news for Gold GTI fans. VW has unveiled the seventh-generation of the Golf model at the 2012 Paris Auto Show. The Volskwagen said that the new Golf GTI in both three- and five-door body styles will go on sale in Europe in early 2013 and in the UK next summer. Sorry, but no word yet on when it will arrive in North America.

2014 Mercedes-Benz S-Class Prototype was recorded on film by the crew at TFLCar, while taking a break from testing near Denver, Colorado. The next S-Class is set to be marketed as a 2014 model in North America and as a 2013 model elsewhere in the world

The high-tech features of the new S-Class will include the ‘Magic Light Control’ system that utilizes adaptive LEDs to illuminate the route ahead and the ‘Magic Body Control’ system that collects data from a camera scanning the road ahead to prepare the car’s electronically controlled suspension accordingly.

Another highlight of the W222 series will be the availability of several different body styles and editions such as the uber -luxurious, stretched-wheelbase Pullman variant, as Mercedes-Benz wants to compensate for the closure of the Maybach brand.
